GE.S.A.C. S.p.A. - Gestione Servizi Aeroporti Campani - is the airport management company of both Naples and Salerno, concessionaire for the total management of both airports until 2045.
Shareholder of majority of GESAC is 2i Airports, the largest platform of Italian airports controlled by F2i SGR, Italy’s largest independent infrastructure fund manager, with the participation of the Spanish fund Asterion.
GESAC's main activities include: design, maintenance and development of airport infrastructures; planning, coordination and development of commercial activities; airport security; customer service and operational management.
Legislative Decree n. 151 of 15 March, 2006 introduced, for the first time, the figure of the Airport management company, recognized by the Italian law as the main reference for airport safety and security.
Specifically, the Airport management company is entrusted with the coordination and technical-operational control of all private companies operating at the airport, as well as ensuring the administration and management of the infrastructure by organizing airport activities in order to ensure consistent levels of quality and safety.
From 20th December 2019, the shareholding structure of the company that manages Naples-Capodichino and Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and Cilento airports is composed as follows:
2i Aeroporti S.p.A. also holds shares in other Italian airports: 40.01% SEA Spa (Milan Airports), 100% SAGAT Spa (Turin Airport), and 55% of Aeroporto Friuli Venezia Giulia S.p.A (Trieste Airport); while F2i SGR, through F2i Ligantia SpA, holds 71.25% of SO.GE.A.AL. Spa (Alghero Airport), 79.79% of GEASAR SpA (Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport) and 0.2% of SO.G.AER. SpA (Cagliari Airport).
